Here we are almost in October, can you believe it? To help you start thinking about next year, I just added this new desk calendar to my shop. I now have patterns for all the signs and this is the first product I put them on! It's been a fun thing to figure out what motifs to pull out and how they'll repeat so that the pattern not only looks good but also tells the story of each sign in its own way.
For instance Taurus repeats in only in one direction to give a sense of stability, Cancer goes up and down like the reflection of the moon, Pisces has a cross-shaped pattern that recalls its divine nature, Libra is very balanced, and Sagittarius just expands in every direction.
I'm not going to show them all here, but I thought you might like to see the old French ceiling design that inspired the cover.
If you bought a deck of the Ingenious Zodiac in the past, or might want to buy one, you may be interested in this lecture I'm preparing for Artisan Tarot, who is now also offering my deck. It's this coming Saturday, and I'll be talking about:
the zodiac for divination, storytelling, or self-development,
how the months of the year follow the hero's journey,
the mythological origin of the signs, and
nature, numbers, psychology, and symbols as my inspiration.
The lecture is free to watch live, and a replay will be available for those who are members of Artisan Tarot (if you want to give that a try, the first 30 days are free).
